It's about 'Plastic Mega Church' Jesus culture.
It's about how you should support dem troops.
It's some kind of red state anthem.

Yes, there are artists that try and defy that like the Dixie Chicks but they get shunned out of the industry for DARING to speak out against the status quo.

Just like with every other mainstream genre of music, it's mostly about love, fucking, and loss.

Also, it's the only genre of music with a community that could even remotely be considered "adult".

I personally don't like it, but I get why my dad does after liking some pretty rad music in his youth.
