The ad for the switch before this played was great.

Never buy anything at launch. Electronics, movies, clothing, food.
PS3 is a bit of a power hog, console wise.
Hell, at this point most of the stuff I buy isn't even post 9/11.
There's already plenty of perfectly good stuff out there, but we just keep making it.
My first PS3 Fat lasted quite a while, I ran that "folding at home" thing a lot so I am sure that eventually cooked it. I returned and got refurbished units in order to keep having the 'Fat' console after they stopped selling them and two of them had pretty short lives. The next one arrived with a broken disc drive, #5 is doing ok for a few years now. I also have a slim that I dragged all over the country for several years as a media player in hotels, its had the crap kicked out of it in baggage but it still works . I use it mostly as a media player/netflix machine pretty much every day. I am sure it helps it runs a whole lot cooler than Fats.
We've been over this, people: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=125464
I stood in line with jy 20 year old stepson who needed a ride to Toys R Us about 1 hour before they opened this weekend so he could throw 300 bucks at them. They had 20 to sell we were 23rd in line. Screw this.
Complete this phrase: Bait and _______
keep in mind, 99.99% of the systems might work fine for years, but that 00.01% is going to get someone fired because some youtube squatters got them.
Fuck Nintendo. Fuck their games and their consoles.
Once upon a time a truly great company that cared about video games as a medium, but man, that time has been LONG GONE. Now they are just piss and shit in so many ways. Too bad so many solid IPs are tied to this fucking company.
I was getting ready to buy one around June but I wanted to wait ON PURPOSE to see how the complicated Transformer-ness of the Switch applied to everyday use.
Got my answer loud and clear. Fuck that shit.
Not saying it's on the level of Virtual Boy but the design issues are not pretty. Up to and including what appears to be something similar to Apple's 'touch screen disease'.
2:00 - 2:13 is very sci-fi.

Wow. I dunno the numbers or anything, but this has got to be one of the worst console launches, at least since Dreamcast's Japanese launch. And disastrous as it was, it DID have Sonic Adventure (yes, there was a time when that game was revered) otherwise it could've been tits-up Dreamcast before it even had time to plan one of the most successful launches in American console history.
And all you really need is one good launch game, right? Like "here's a game you gotta play that makes getting a Switch this early on a good decision.." this one gotta-have game oh wait I can play the new Zelda on my girlfriend's Wii U. And I've got a little extra $ and Zelda's my 2nd favorite game series of all time, so I was all about it, but now I'll wait, to see what the big devs are planning and just New Zelda fix on a pre-existing console for the time being.. I can't be the only one who thinks like this. I'm sure there's interface differences between the two versions, but it's kinda like deciding to get a 32X when the games you want to play are playable with what you already have.
