Leave Joerg alone!
There's a petition that will be sent to YouTube, once it hits 10k.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
Scrotum u are so lazy!
Here is a tinyurl of it
I kinda suspect based on a few remarks in his videos that Joerg is perhaps a bit of a right-wing nutcase but his creations and videos are fantastic + jesus christ the sun is such a massive bag of shit!! You yanks know that is Rupert Murdocks paper?
This is an example of why its precarious to base your livelihood completely on some service. Eg. Paypal have been known to freeze accounts, just keep all your money with no explanation, and they dont legally need to give one.
Is The Daily Mail owned by the same company that owns The Sun?
Because he clearly says The Mail On Sunday, which I understood to be essentially the Sunday edition of The Daily Mail.
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
oh whoops my brain overwrote the real newspaper with the one in the title!
Its also a massive bag of shit though!
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
Also I didnt bother checking but I wouldnt be even slightly surprised if they were owned by same company
I've always assumed Joerg is someone I probably wouldn't gt along with in real life but his videos are always great.
Oh, and my bad on the title, I'd just happened to pause it on a closeup of The Sun's masthead when I was submitting and mixed the two up. Fixed.
If Joerg is right wing it would be ironic that a right wing paper may be what takes him down.
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
@ OZ yeah thats sort of the vibe I mean. I dont think we'd be best buds either irl. But he's a gent. + Even if he was a massive crazy asshole this would be totally wrong.
I mentioned it above + someone else did below.
When you rely on these services you are putting yourself under their power with no recourse or rights. The problem is private that services like gmail, facebook, youtube, paypal and so on are becoming essential services, and they are almost completely unregulated.
you could imagine in countries that have their society reasonably well organised (like the Netherlands) they might consider creating a public version of these sort of services.

It's a shame the video is down, it was a pretty good one.
He's doomed when they find all the recent videos he's done. Somone sent him an authentic riot shield and helmet and he's been slowly destroying them with homemade spearguns.

This is sad.
Yeah, There's been a rash of it this week, I don't really pay much attention to Youtube personalities but from what I've picked up, in the wake of the whole "high profile gaming channels getting called out for cryptoracist opinions" thing and the subsequent pulling of ads by a bunch of major corporate advertisers, there's been a bit of a feeding frenzy of:
A) companies pulling frivolous shit against Youtubers they don't like (Kellogs is now suing Jim Sterling for having a cornflakes box visible in a few videos, for example), knowing Youtube is so cowed over the whole ad boycott that they're even more likely to capitulate than they already were.
B) complete fabrications like this just to stir up outrage and sell papers/get clicks.
And as dumb as a lot of the stuff on Youtube is, because they've set themselves up as a service where people can and do make a living, and those people's work is really the only thing that makes Youtube a viable business in any way, this becomes a workers' rights issue.
Anyhow, I think major sites like Youtube, all of Google's properties, Facebook, Twitter, etc. have become so tightly integrated into the social fabric that they should legally be public utilities (as should ISPs and the internet infrastructure itself, of course).

Oh boy, that Simon Murphy made a big mistake... Anyhow, good 'ol Gallowboob of Reddit made a good point on twitter that Mr. Murphy himself wrote an article in 2013 instructing how to smuggle knives onto airplanes...

I'm not sure why y'all are upset. This is exactly the politically correct culture you wanted. You aligned yourself with the hordes of SJWs so what's the problem? Sol Ro - this is the world you wanted.
You're the dumbest user left on this site after orcs got banned and homer left.
Those SJWs at the Daily Mail.
like yeah, I don't wanna pile on but you are wrong and obviously projecting your own SJW issues onto everything and often also everyone here.
He called The Daily Mail SJWs.
He called a right wing gossip rag SJWs
And you're the second dumbest meme.
No doubt Enjoy feels the same way about that nest of communist liberals at the CIA and FBI who are attacking Dear Leader.
PC is a prison bitch word used by punks and lapdogs to criticize others in order to curry favor with the dick holding the big gun in their particular club.
In the current political climate, SJW is the "politically correct" term for any woman that won't slob your knob for a fiver and thinks you're an asshole for asking in the first place.
Uppity was politically correct for blacks that didn't know they were still property
RINO is still PC for "hoes that don't put out when they're told to"
In the previous eight years, PC terms included "underinformed" for fucking stupid, "denialist" for dangerously fucking stupid, and "citizen journalists" for cheap ghost writers that can't be bothered to proofread.
THIS IS YOUR "CHANGE", AMERICA!

YouTube isn't a public service or personal right. And as much as i personally enjoy the Slingshot Channel and believe Joerg's heart is in the right place, I also wouldn't blame a company for not wanting to disseminate instructional videos for making homemade weapons. Then again, there are much sketchier weapons channels on there. Don't pick on the creative, jolly one!
Joerg and people like his are the source of value for Youtube and yet they have absolutely no protection or rights as workers. Much like, say Uber drivers, but it gets even less attention because most people still don't recognize it as legitimate work.
You can say that about anyone that owns a business that offers you a job. It always comes off as an expedient defense of oligarchy against an individual you feel superior too. Appeal to corporate masters seems like a conversation killer, rather than an argument.
Two Jar Slave
Funny how I can say, "I wouldn't blame a company fir not wanting to host instructional videos on crafting homemade weapons" and the internet hears, "I'm ignorant to the exploitation of contract and commission workers." Maybe it's just because I'm in a rotten mood (and I am), but even though I appreciate both of your perspectives I also want to tell you to take your pulpits and go preach somewhere else.

Looks like this has been resolved!!
I got this message from change.org
As I just saw on Facebook, Joerg said YouTube revoked the community guidlines strike. Unbelievable! He is even able to reupload his video. Incredible what a community can do! Thanks folks
