Haven't watched it yet but I'm reminded of the most recent season of South Park. Kyle's dad becomes a troll and joins a trolling community, but it turns out he's the worst of them all because all the others are misfits who have banded together to have somewhere to belong and to lash out against the society that rejected them, and Kyle's dad just trolls people to wield power and make himself feel good.
