Breitbart will offer him a promotion to Lead Fluffer. He'll be ok.

Not to conflate - Bill-O is scum - but I can't stand Katy Tur. Every "report" she files oozes with bias and resentment over Trump belittling her in the "I'll get it out..." interview.
|
Maggot Brain - 2017-04-19 I'm not the biggest fan of MSNBC in general but they were the first ones to report/gloat over this story.

I can not possibly understand how no late night show brought that up.

This won't fix the minds of a generation of the nation's elderly. The man deserves the rope. Savanarola got worse.

Weird but nice that a Trump presidency isn't all sunshine and lollipops for prominent right-wing loons. Milo, Billo, and the screws being put on Alex Jones ... who's next?

StanleyPain - 2017-04-20
His timeslot is being given to Tucker Carlson, who is like O'Reilly times 10 just waiting in the garage to be let loose.
Seriously, if anyone thinks this will change anything about the tone at Fox, they are in for a rude surprise once he hits the air.
|
dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-04-20 Yeah, I'd take twenty Bill O'Reillys over a Tucker Carlson any day. He's way fucking worse.
|
SolRo - 2017-04-20 Who thought it would change things at fox?
I'm just enjoying the schadenfreude
|
StanleyPain - 2017-04-21 I wasn't implying any of YOU here on poetv were saying this would change things at Fox, rather I was referring to some of the sentiment I've been seeing online (not so much from the media).

Why would they fire him? I can't believe Fox News or their viewers give a shit...
|
|
StanleyPain - 2017-04-21 The station lost more money in advertisers (who withdrew their ads from his timespot) than it cost to pay off all of his sexual harassment accusers, and there are new cases against him waiting in the wings as we speak. A few advertisers were rumored as telling Fox they would pull all their ads from the entire channel if he wasn't canned. So, as usual for the right-wing shit show (whether it's TV, radio, politics, etc.) once money is an issue, you must bow down before the almighty dollar.
They gave him like a 40 or 50 million severance or something, though, presumably to help him pay for more legal shit.
|
cognitivedissonance - 2017-04-21 Part of it is the slow removal of Trump's media shills for when the inevitable happens. It's the slowest Sword of Damocles ever.

Extreme political figures and pundits are inherently broken. Now, dress all those faults in a thin veneer of command, and put them on stage, performing 24/7. Even a sane person would snap. I'm surprised O'Reilly made it this long before faltering. How long will Tucker last before the allegations of rape, pedophilia, drug abuse, and assaults start oozing out of the walls and drown him?
