It's a very modern synthesizer - polyphonic - 8 voices ...
I was all but phobic of the opening credits for DR. WHO when i was about five.
DVD for "Earthshock" contains some interview material and such regarding the "new" theme at the time
Now this really warms a sound engineer student's heart
But does his synthesizer have an alarm?
The BBC Polyphonic Workshop never throws anything away! Except all those old Dr. Who episodes. :(
That's the BBC itself, not the workshop. And they've amended their ways (too late to save all the good stuff, sadly).
Never watched the show but the ending credits were on before Sesame Street :)
