San Diego just went through a "stoner-drone-metal" boom in the last few years where every band in town was making "dirty-brown-water" music. I'm glad to see that fad has passed but Sleep is classic!
Yeah, there are a lot of really, really generic, samey bands in the genre. Often they'll have 1 or 2 good songs and a whole bunch of boring, forgettable ones.
