In 5th grade everybody in my class was randomly assigned a different state, and we had to create a whole bunch of color-coded maps for our state that indicated things like precipitation rates across the state, topography, population density, etc. I got Florida. Most of my maps were just one or two colors across the whole state. There is zero topography, there's uniformly low population density except in the south around Miami, the entire state gets the same amount of preceipitation, (a metric shit ton), etc.
Florida made my state project so incredibly easy that I became a huge fan of the state.... until I visited the state during high school and discovered that the state is filled with horrible, horrible people. (With the possible exception of Miami; I didn't make it that far South.)
