The left to right evolution of cleavage.

I've always loved the idea of Elvira. Even as kid I always got the impression from her character isn't really a goth chick, just the only person who auditioned for the roll that could fill out the dress. Granted, that idea got thrown out with the movie but the concept still works. It's the same reason why Shinya Arino was so good in Game Center CX, he's not really a gamer, it's his job to show you the end of game.

What I find amusingly missed is the fact that Vampira and Elvira existed to take the piss out of the goth culture and the horror culture but ended up being bigger influences on both than anything before them.

Dead James Dean Halloween costume at 1:55?

Is 4:36 the origin of the devilock?

Anyhow, this was fun but they completely left out Tura Satana! I'd have also liked to see some additional supplemental material on Vampirella, Quentin Blake's original depictions of the Grand High Witch in his illustrations of Roald Dahl's book, and possibly Rhonda Shear, although I do understand why they were omitted.

The devillock was descended from the 50's Duck's Ass haircut. I went bald before I could attempt one.
