Just another reason to love The Two Ronnies: They did a parody of this called, "The Short and Fat Minstrel Show."

RIP, Ronnie and Ronnie.

I don't know if I would say "extraordinarily" racist. It's certainly the kind of casually racist, old white people sort of thing you would frequently see on Lawrence Welk and shows like that as well, but not particularly evil, IMO. This kind of shit smacks more of people who are just way out of touch with society and don't care about even trying because they can't comprehend what's wrong with it.

Yeah, I was going to put some kind of "not extraordinary at all" disclaimer but I couldn't think of a good way to phrase it and got distracted.

Anyhow, this and most other clips of the show are usually uploaded by people as good, clean fun that should still be on TV today.

Also the title itself is a reference to the description of that Al Jolson clip a few down the front page as "extraordinarily racist" and the whole joke of it is that it's so extraordinary that the same thing was happening on TV 50 years later.

Don't forget to take a Norman Lear break after watching this.
