Mayweather can handle anything. He defeated Big Show at Wrestlemania.

If there is one thing that sports in general have been missing it's characters. These days every interview is some millionaire working off a script about "sticking to the game plan" and "make adjustments and execute" and blah blah blah. It's great to have a guy like McGregor around to show people how it's done (even though he's going to lose).
Some of the videos made about him are intriguing, and some of the stunts he's pulled are hilarious, but I think in boxing or MMA you can get away with a lot more than other sports that cling to proper civil conduct. I think the nature of fighting sports is that their behaviour is already uncivil, so how could anything they do be worse than punching someone in the face. It is strange in a way, and yet, I'm sure you could think of some exceptions in mainstream sports that carry on and just cop the fines or suspensions in light of their unbecoming media profiles.

Conor will probably lose yes, but I still really want to watch this fight to see just how shit it is. I lost interest in UFC after fighters starting winning points and not fights, and from what I can gather, even though I've never watched him fight, Mayweather is a points fighter and doesn't actually "fight".
I haven't watched many McGregor fights though, so I can't comment on whether or not he tries to finish people, though I know he finished Aldo pretty quickly, maybe I should watch the Diaz fights...
But, if talking was fighting, McGregor certainly knows how to finish a guy. Gift of the gab maybe...

Boxing is still a real sport, so showboating on this level is interesting because people do actually die engaging in it. Not often, but it happens.
I would love it if McGregor just decides to choke Mayweather during a boxing match. What are they going to do? Take his boxing license away? Do you think Mayweather Productions put a clause in the contract about getting choked out?

McGregor should pull an Antonio Inoki, just lie on his back and kick Mayweather the entire match. The boxer-vs.-fighter spectacle is usually about making sure the marks are unburdened of that easy money. Match quality is secondary to that goal.
It's queensbury rules, he can't just lie on his back, the ref would stand him up.
