Not really a fair comparison, I'd say they would compare more against someone like Cerrone in terms of quality within their style, and with a comparison like that I'd say it's pretty even.

Oh got you, I thought you were a Spencer Davis Group fan and were using them as an example of a general decline in music.

For what it's worth, I've heard that hook countless times and I'm pretty sure some of them predate Spencer Davis Group too, but it's a hard thing to check up on. But this one is pretty shameless.
