I ate at the one off Mineral Point almost every week when I was working at CapTel. It was okay.

Their secret ingredient was sugar. The crust and the sauce were practically confectionary.

Rocky Rococo, the man, was a bit like Principal Blackman from Strangers w/ Candy. There were weird little pictures of him everywhere, even the bathrooms. Very unsettling.

I spent most of my summers until age 12 or so in La Crosse visiting my grandparents and they lived behind they alleyway from one. And they had pinball. With the municipal pool across the street I really didn't need much else. You can also see where I lived and worked in Madison in this video, weird.

Sugar is also they key to very good French fries. After you do the blanch step, roll those fuckers in sugar, then fry them. Salt heavily.

I never really objected to the sauce, and overall I liked Rocky's, but yeah, the crust is definitely as sweet as it is plentiful.

Don't ever cross the Pizza Yakuza!

I'm guessing some VERY stoned college guys were into both Firesign Theater and Leon Redbone, and decided to build a pizza empire (modest though it is) on their shared interests.
