I've never seen a Yugo in real life. I've heard many a tale of how they were complete and utter pieces of poorly built fall apart shit, but I've never ever actually seen one.

Funny, because I've heard that they were actually really good little cars that were just released in an era that despised tiny compacts.

That and you looked like you were driving a go-cart and if you got in a wreck you might as well be driving a cardboard box.

They were crazy, but the craziest part was that the spare tire was up front behind the engine, to keep the weight balanced. If you had a tire replaced and you didn't put it back, you risked flipping over upside down at high speeds.

High speeds.

In my youthful days in Houston, I still remember witnessing one of the top 10 most ridiculous things I've ever seen. An avocado green Yugo, dropped with underbody lighting, and, racing tires.

Do not hold your horses. Your dream of a tough and dependable car can finally be fulfilled.

I remember these.

If they broke down, you could just carry them to the mechanic.
