I really don't like the guy's music, but he has always seemed like a good guy.

There's gotta be some Cooper you might like. The guy was rocking since the 60s. There's many eras of Cooper. There's the Alice Cooper band era, which even then is like two different eras, beginning with their start on Frank Zappa's Bizarre records, then with their straight forward hard rock on Warner Bros. Then you have the solo Cooper where his music took many twists and turns from his late 80s hair metal albums and the fascinating black out series where he was so drugged up he doesn't remember recording them.
