One of the vampires is now a bartender I'm Olympia. He's deeply obsessed with the Qabalah and geomancy. Interesting guy.
What bar? I was in Olympia, but he bartender only said that he hated Bikini Kill.

This seems like a CD-i or 3DO game, but the video resolution is too high and the a vintage is too low. What is this witchcraft?
Sega CD.

Pretty much 90% of the data on the CD was dedicated to these videos, so they are amazingly high quality for the time they were released.

They just re-released it earlier this week on PS4 and PC. The video quality is really quite good, which surprises me because most video game source files from that era seem to be entirely lost. I figured they'd just do what all the PS2 remastered games do and upscale the old tiny resolution FMVs and make them look even worse than they did originally.

I'm amazed to hear about a re-release. They had a kickstarter a few years ago that raised almost no support. They also said they already had a "digital HD transfer of the elements", but looking at some footage of the re0release, it just looks like a badly deinterlaced VHS tape.

Yeah, I suppose I should have said that it looks quite good *all things considered*. It definitely looks more VHS quality than a proper source transfer.

Which is crap because you know the original untouched print that could be used for a proper HD transfer is laying around in a basement somewhere.

Isn't this the Sega CD 32X version where you had to have both of the woe begotten Genesis peripherals to play it?

We just had the regular Sega CD version but I think the 32X version had slightly upgraded video quality, but not 3DO quality.

After ages of trying, I finally beat the game one time then never touched it ever again.
