I hated this film when I first saw it, but its over the top nature has grown on me. Hopper and Hooper were both phenomenal in this.

This movie is brilliant and weird. I loved it immediately.

It's more conventionally entertaining than the original, and that's why I prefer it.

Dennis Hopper owns this movie, as he does with every movie he's in. The final act, in the Sawyer cave under the amusement park, is solid gold. I always feel so bad for the guy who gets his face sliced off with an electric knife.

I just saw this for the first time since I rented it on VHS in college. (on Hulu). It's way better than I remembered. Leatherface's sexual awkwardness was hilarious. So was Tom Siedow, an amazing actor who has a tragically sparse IMDB page. He's so good, I was sure I'd seen him in a hundred movies.

The comedy and the horror just keeps exploding together!
