Seize the carp.

infinite zest - 2017-09-01

Carpe carp!

infinite zest - 2017-09-01

Meant as reply. Carpe crap!

SolRo - 2017-09-01

Do we have footage of a dumb New Yorker rescuing sewer rats after Sandy?

Or is rescuing a destructive pest species a uniquely dumb southerner thing?

Binro the Heretic - 2017-09-01

Maybe after everything that happened to him, he just wasn't in a mood to see something die.

M-DEEM - 2017-09-01

Should have rescued that thing right into a wood chipper

Hooker - 2017-09-02

Nobody rescue SolRo.

Ugh - 2017-09-02

if it makes you feel better he probably damaged the carp's protective slimy layer

poorwill - 2017-09-02

SolRo is the grass carp of poeTV.

il fiore bel - 2017-09-02

There's no need to insult the grass carp. At least it gets rid of water weeds.

TeenerTot - 2017-09-02

Oh SolRo. Must you be so devoid of joy and compassion?

Nominal - 2017-09-02

Is there anything you aren't a chronic piece of shit towards?

SolRo - 2017-09-02

Did the hurricane blow sand in all of your vaginas?

Grass carp are a destructive invasive species that reproduce quickly.

Killing them is beneficial to the local ecosystem

Anaxagoras - 2017-09-03

That may be true. Hell, if they're an invasive species, then it probably *is* true. But it's no reason to go making fun of those guys or their region.

Look, I doubt you'll find more of an anti-Southern guy than me. I hate the South's politics, its culture, and most things about it. But these guys' actions seemed to be coming from a good place.

I don't know which species are invasive around where I live; I bet they don't know for their region either. They just saw a fish that was suffocating, and they wanted to help it. That's a good impulse. It may be ignorant, and it may be wrong-headed in the long run. But it's not worthy of mockery.

il fiore bel - 2017-09-03

This particular carp was being kept in a golf course pond. What exactly was it invading?

Binro the Heretic - 2017-09-01

Holy carp!

fedex - 2017-09-01

THATS A HUGE FISH
