I barely remember "riding" this as a kid (the XS version). Even at ten, it was more confusing than scary.

This dude's whole idea for a VR park sounds awesome. Hopefully Disney won't try to glom on.. what are the rules for that, anyway? Do attractions (not necessarily certain copyrighted characters) like these cease to be intellectual property when the physical property is gone?

Also isn't this the plot to Half-Life?

Having Ferris Bueller's pedo principle making alien-like Brundle-flies out of Lilo and Stitch only confirms my long held belief that Walt Disney cheated death by implanting his head on the body of the man we now know as John Waters.

Magic By Committee™, the Disney Tradition since 1968.

The Disney executives are very good at turning broadly attractive but toothless ideas into billion dollar industries. They've honed that to a science.

I actually never heard about this until watching this video.

Gives that scene in the arcade a whole new context.

Disney imagination: rides must have a film tie-in.

And films must have a ride tie-in.

It's a lateral to retool this ride around Devo. At that point, Disney hadn't YET decided to test-market devolution to its fanbase, and Dev2.0 only got Disney so far.

I recommend the Videopolis episode if only for the part about Disney kicking teenagers out for "homosexual fast dancing."

I know the whole "that would be a good band name" joke is beyond played out but seriously. It would.
