I literally came here to submit this. The link is on my clipboard. It's a great half hour overview of what HDS had been doing during all the years before I saw him in Repo Man, and he became one of my favorite actors.

During my life there have been a handful of movies, just a handful, that I saw in the theater, and then saw over and over in the theater and took my friends to see. None of these were recognized classics, the kind of movies that top critics' all time lists. They were movies that hit me where I live, movies that made a personal connection with me.. Offhand, I can only think of four such movies (Amadeus, Repo Man, and Wild at Heart)

Repo Man
Wild at Heart

and Harry Dean Stanton may be the only person who was in two of them.was in two of them.

Harry Dean Stanton once asked an interviewer for Loaded magazine, back in the 1990s why they were questioning him about The Care Bears Movie.

"You were in it."
"Fuck, was I?"

I've loved HDS for a long time, but Twin Peaks: The Return really drove home just what a national treasure he is. RIP.

Great homage, even if it's mostly just an edit of someone else's documentary. Speaking of which, the song at the end was lovely.
