I remember watching Svengoolie in the mid 90's, I guess I'm not sure if they were re-runs or new shows though.
Our local guy who did the same sort of thing was Ned the Dead. I always thought Ned sucked and that I could personally do a better job! Over the years he grew on me, and now that he's gone, I kind of miss him. At least I think he's gone, as his show had a way of disappearing off the regular schedule for months or even years at a time.
Problem is: he's only got like a dozen movies and then just reruns them. He's going to squeeze every last dime out of that public domain print package he bought.
Yeah? I don't watch often enough to notice. Every couple years I'll catch a show and it's like TV Kraft macaroni to me. Not the best maybe, but super comforting.
Yeah he's still on, but the movie rotation is terrible. I honestly through he was off the air too until someone notified me about a year ago when he did an episode that guest starred Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu from MST3k.
