Is America great again yet?
for the 30 percent and climbing that are racist, nationalist authoritarians, it sure is
I'd go as high as half of Trump voters, max. I don't know about 30 percent of the entire country.
I think you're under-representing how many stupid dingbats with crappy mindset voted for him, or how many people would have voted against Clinton for anyone at all.
and Bernie supporters wouldn't have voted against anyone at all
Thanks, subsentient pile of de-ionized minerals in the guise of a mashed potato elemental dyed orange with cheap soda in an Appalachian buffet, for everything, including...
Enabling the racist fuckwits on the right, which emboldened the racist fuckwits on the left in a political spectrum that never had to deal with a large percentage of its populace being openly racist before, and therefore destroying them. That's two birds with one stone kung fu master shit right there. You're so fucking awful no one can be near you, neither for nor against you, without immediately discrediting themselves for all time.
For making Obama's executive tyrant powers look like the pure goddamned horror show only idiots didn't see they were during Obama.
For showing that the difference between Breitbart and the New York Times is : nothing.
For taking the nation from a discussion of "left vs. right" and making it a discussion of "authoritarian vs. anti-authoritarian" behind the backs of those still dumb enough to say it's between left and right, they wont ever understand why they went politically extinct, and how it happened in under a year.
For being mortal, this is the just the best.
For uniting the entire country against you. Even your partisan sycophants have turned on you, which literally has never happened before in our politics. You make tribalism seem stupid to people who can only think in tribal terms. Your incompetence is transcendental magick.
For proving the less competent of two evils is amazing when it runs an empire you cannot personally stand.
For inspiring the pseudosciences to double down on such stupidity that we all openly hate them now, and have come to have zero tolerance for so-called scientists who shut off their capacity for critical thought and go play Big Pig In Big Shit Culture War Hero. They are all done.
For showing slacktivism, clicktivism, and moral relativity to be pure suicide in a progressive ideology.
For making Republicans so sensitive against authoritarians that they are close to throwing their own Christians to the lions.
For making Congress, the courts, and the alphabet fascists have to actually have to stress test their power.
For showing how unimportant the oligarchy's installed emperors really are.
For destroying America.
Thanks for being our National Scapegoat, sent into the desert to draw the political scavengers away so we may shut the gates behind them.
Your time in history will be brief, stupid, and you will be taking half the country's bullshit down with you, and none of that bullshit sees it coming.
Thank you, Donald Trump, for being the poison that killed the poisoner.
Meant to be an un-reply comment on video and not a message to anyone here, except by accident, a really unfortunate accident.
***** ghost stars for memedumpster
It's not actually the inaugural anniversary. That's not until January.

According to google Trump rhymes dump.
So here's the good news: it hasn't been NEARLY as bad a first year as feared. Trump is every bit as evil as we feared, and probably even more corrupt, but he is wildly, hilariously incompetent. And even then is almost succeeding at destroying the political system, thanks to the sheer cowardice of the Republican legislature and utter moral disgrace of Republican media.
If Trump had been half-competent, we'd already be cheering the formation of the new Galactic Empire.
Just wait until Dems lose seats in 2018.
As bad as Trump is, he still hasn't reached the level of a G W Bush or Reagan, but give him time.
AKA 'I'm white and still doing okay, so everything is okay'
also, often the true impact of a presidency isn't felt until years after the fact. The damage this administration is doing to the country in the long term with regard to things like economic, educational, environmental, or geopolitical outcomes isn't something we can really see or accurately predict right now, but it's not looking good at the moment.
In short: It still remains to be seen if we're on the very bad timeline (Mussolini), or the less bad (Berlusconi).
So first of all, I'm not white.
Second of all, it's none of white boy SolRo's business what race I am.
Third, anyone with a brain can distinguish between what "On Thermonuclear War" called "tragic but distinguishable states". Or would you rather have the WORST case Trump scenario?
Because there's still plenty of time for that to happen.
Is it just me, or have things started slowing down? At first it was hard to keep up with all the bad things happening, like he enacted the muslim ban, threatened a bunch of national landmarks, insulted a veteran, and fired two people per week. It seems like they are running out of steam, I hope?
His appointees and supreme court pick(s) are going (trying) to do a hell of a lot of long term damage.
He’s been quietly filling the leadership positions of every agency with incompetent rich weasels and/or idiotic loyal sycophants.
Most of these agencies can function okay for a while purely on momentum, but eventually the morons with financial or ‘moral’ objectives will start to exert their influence in a visible way.
Or not so visible, since American popular news media is utterly incompetent and unable to cover any complex or “boring” story until people start dying en mass
Myself, I don't wait for the pain to reach me personally before I take offense. As a straight white guy I am pretty well insulated against most of the crap, so before things would impact me noticeably, a hell of a lot of people would have to be hurt. That's way too late for me to start to object.
That's also not even mentioning the razor thin margin the GOP's absolute worst agendas have failed by. The THREE pushes to repeal the ACA were one single senate vote from proceeding, and now they're trying defunding tactics (FOX news will claim the ACA failed by design rather than by Republican sabotage).
Now the most disastrous tax plan since Reagan is coming up, and has a better chance of going through because it's less immediate and obvious than "everyone loses their healthcare". And since the ACA repeal barely failed by one vote, "a better chance" means "it's going to happen".
Every "both parties are the same" idiot deserves a punch.
