Little late to the game Hawaii, The Old Republic has had micro transactions for a couple years now.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2017-11-22 Big issue is loot boxes. Put in your money, get a random prize.
|
Nominal - 2017-11-22 Yeah Blizzard with loot boxes is way worse.
At least when you pay way too much money for a skin or in-game currency, you actually GET what you pay for.
I've read countless posts from people who really wanted an Overwatch skin, bought $60 in loot boxes to get it, and never did.

SolRo - 2017-11-22 Pretty sure they have loot boxes too

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2017-11-22 The only person wearing a hawaiian(ish) shirt at this *supposedly* hawaiian press conference.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2017-11-22 Kids are the ultimate rubes for many businesses. You gotta learn to be savvy. I learned my lessons pretty early.
1. Once I got a 5 pound note from my granny for some reason, i was like 3 or something, it was my 1st time having money.
I blew it *all* on one of those coin operated 'ball' machines with random toys/sweets in them at the local shop. (I felt super guilty about it)
2. Brief foray into magic: the gathering cards when early teen.
I do not understand adults who gamble or ever engage in microtransactions.

Nominal - 2017-11-22 So, you know,...if you want to...wear one......yeah...

Really? No one else is going to mention it? Alright.... I'll be that guy.
I keep playing 0:25-0:35 over and over and over and giggling.
IT'S A TRAP!

I think this Star Wars thing is on my phone. They gave it to me as a free bonus for buying a 25 dollar Google Play Card, and called it a 20 dollar value. It figures.
