This movie really just hates its audience...which is understandable because its audience is watching "Sausage Party."
"After release, controversy emerged after anonymous comments attributed to the animators on a Cartoon Brew article suggested that the animators at Nitrogen Studios worked under poor conditions and were forced by director Greg Tiernan to work overtime without pay. A total of 36 of the 83 animators were blacklisted and went uncredited in the film, believed to be due to their complaints; comments made in anonymous interviews by some of the animators involved in the project by Variety, The Washington Post, and The Hollywood Reporter alleged that the comments were accurate. All the animators in the film were reportedly told outright that they would be blacklisted if they did not work overtime without pay."
That was painful. At least it saved me ever considering watching the whole movie.
Good god, this is shit.
Not even the worst of MNR.
I don't get it.
That Unhumor tag seems ripe.
why 5 times?
Is this real? Is this really from the movie??
On top of being painfully, insultingly lazy and unfunny, the whole premise is also straight out of a far superior source (a bit NSFW):
You guys should see the rest of the movie.
This is actually the only brave, human touched, thoughtful part of the whole thing.
Also, being a three act movie with characters who have motivations and arcs by default makes this a movie, which a lot of media vomit from studios cannot remotely claim.
As insulting as this movie is in its existence, it aptly demonstrates how insulting the existence of movies is altogether.
Well, at least we're all gonna die someday.
Wait until you see Seth Rogen's NEXT hilarious animated feature!
ROGEN: "Like, what if...weed....could smoke weed? :overly indulgent chuckling: Huh? I mean, think about that! What would happen in THAT situation? :more overly indulgent chuckling:"
