From the sheer scope of this cataclysmic floor-failure, I want to think at least a dozen and a half of those 25 died almost instantly, skulls crushed or necks snapped or ribcage crushed like a soda can, or other types of short crush-snuffing...
It's the cacophony of the maimed and dying, and the wailing of those who watched their family members die, but miraculously survived unscathed, that just makes my skin crawl. The cry not of human beings, but of animals that a callous and indifferent God has diegned to visit His wrath upon.
That one, repeating, keening scream of what I can only assume was a woman cuts through any kind of jaded defense I try to put up, even after watching this more times than I can count or care to remember.

As tragic as this is, what happened afterwords was even worse. This was at a time of relative peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, and some Israelis concluded it was some sort of terrorist work. Despite Israel itself saying it was an accident, they were unable to convince some of the Zionists of this. So they, independent from Israel, took it upon themselves to attack some Palestinians to avenge what happened. Of course, that made the Palestinians mad, so they hit Israel back, and it was a total fustercluck all over again within the month!
