When mainstream Christianity conceded relevance in order to align itself with the radical right, they opened the door to a new pop culture religion that is quickly becoming the new normal.

I was kind of hoping for maybe a sinister Age of Aquarius cargo cult based on the distribution of clean water, but until that materializes, we're looking at variations of "The Matrix" crossed with "The Secret" until we're all atomized.
