Spend a few minutes showing how to cut open a coke can then skim over getting electric motor.

Why does he use that bit from a lighter as an off-centre weight? Surely *anything* would have sufficed?

Is the speed / power of the electric motor important?

Glue everything to the battery, when the battery runs out ure fucked.

Also I suppose you could just hot glue the aluminium strip to a vibrator, save a couple steps.

What was the black goo?

You must be fun at parties.

I elusively attend only PCP fueled BDSM fuck-parties (wearing a horse mask). Anything else is redundant.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-03-25
And no I am not fun at them.... At least not in any conventional sense of the word.

No this video is dumb (content-wise) and well worth the criticism Mr. Purple Cat is throwing at it. The video *seems* to be about conveying how to open a lock, but because the methodology is so overdone, impractical, and poorly thought out the video ends up being about the producer's need/desire to make a video for accolades or attention and his willingness to pantomime a skill rather than learning and doing the actual skill. I'm also not fun at parties.

Sweet! Now I can finally break in to my little sister’s dairy from 1996!
SolRo - 2018-03-25
How to pick a tiny lock;

Step one; cut it off with bolt cutters.
Old_Zircon - 2018-03-25
I'm fairly sure you could break this one with your fingers.

SolRo - 2018-03-25
I did learn that you can open the classic combination padlock with a swift hit from a boot

How to not know what "pick" means.

Step One: ask SolRo

SolRo - 2018-03-25
Damn lock picking hipsters!

I can get into any basic lock with a paperclip.
Bort - 2018-03-25
Two paperclips, surely.

I find that, for many locks, raking with a feeler pick (not with a rake) is damn near as fast as a key. On the other hand, today I got a lock with very strong springs, which makes it pretty resistant to raking. I might have to actually bring my single pin picking skills up to speed to crack this one.

Old_Zircon - 2018-03-26
Just save right before you start picking and then reload if you break a pick.

No one cares that you're the master of unlocking Jill.

Just kidding! I'm jealous because I've never been able to successfully pick a lock.

Get a something like this:

Being able to pick a lock with a paperclip (actually TWO paperclips*) is cool, but it's not the right tool for the job for any but the most simple of locks. Paperclips bend during usage, and they are hard to form into exactly the right shape in the first place.

*: Two, not one, because it takes two tools to simulate the action of a key: one to move the pins into place, and one to turn the lock.
