Didnt watch much, but from the jist of his argument got the impression that this video + the one he is gainsaying are both entirely missing the point of all this.
The art you see in galleries primary function, and raison d'etre, is to simply be an asset.
Like diamonds, frozen orange juice futures, sub-prime mortgages ,cryptocurrencies, stocks in the latest trendy startup. etc. Just another thing that financiers can invest in, inflate the value of and gamble with.
Art collectors and gallery owners can collude to create and asset worth millions out of nothing, even thought it may be indistinguishable from whatever art your weird neighbour makes.
for a political wing that only just a few years ago was lasciviously tonguing milton freidmans balls the alt-right sure doesn't understand how capitalism works

Art is whatever you want it to be as long as it’s sincere. If millionaires have their own rules, that’s them.

Fascists hate modern art.
Fascists don’t ever seem to grasp that “modern” ended over 60 years ago, and that we’re so far Post-modern that we don’t even have a name for it.
But, Philistines gotta pose.
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
boo to you cog!! When almost everyone says modern in relation to anything, they *mean* contemporary, recent. That is literally the meaning of the word.
The 'Modern art' and 'modern architecture' movements, meaning of the word you are referring to is only going to be useful in very niche cases.
Its like, I'm not gonna use technical jargon when I'm not talking to a colleague about a technical issue we're working on.
It may be more accurate but the non-technical listener wont understand so it would be pointless to say and would result in miscommunication.
eh, you're alright!
I’m not going to give a fascist the benefit of the doubt in even this.
I'm the fascists of their heyday in the 30s and 40s. They hated Monet and they hated Picasso. Fascists today hate contemporary art and they still hate modern.
Don't act like I don't know the difference. I'm a MOMA member.

This guy's rants are eerily like Patrick Bateman's creepy, robotic diatribes on music albums which are nothing more than things he's heard and memorized like a parrot. Watching Watson talk you realize that in his face there is nothing approaching a human personality going on in there. He's a soulless corpse that rattles off scripts. Or the world's unfunniest Muppet flailing and mouth-flapping around. Does he just sit there motionless in the dark with a blank expression when he's finished at the end of every session?

Are butts arts?

Modern youtube commentary is such shit.

I guess I don't want to watch it, but 5 stars for pissing off DQL.

I've been thinking about assembling some of the videos about how POJO Watson is full of shit. Even Right Wingers with a little bit of discernment are onto this guy, but of course, that leaves a huge contingent of idiots, plus all those trolls who like him just because he pisses people off. How immature is THAT?
The Alt-right's political philosphy is pretty much boiled down to pissing off the libs.
Cena Mark, hello! How nice to see you again! You are doing Alt-right political philosophy when it comes to art and enlightenment?
This guy is crapping up his art opinions with side notes about people he doesn't agree with and television shows, music, and other crap that he can try to bring up so they don't have to talk about the art that he shared in the begining.

It's not surprising the neo nazis recycled 'degenerate' for their current newspeak, given the history of fascist loathing for anything that takes the slightest bit of education to understand.
'To be educated is to question, to question is treasonous'
Eco nailed it and we're watching it in real time.
