The Japanese version was awful. And boring. You have to give Fabio that much. Asians seem incapable of making a halfway scary movie without fucking it up completely.

Really, the Japanese plot gets waaaaay out there with Sadako being some kind of sentient smallpox... And a hermaphrodite.
