I always love it when people who fake credentials get caught out. 5 stars.

Aaaand she just dropped out.
I was hoping this would be a longer ride!

I have a problem with "oopsie, apologies!" for deliberate shit like this.
Especially since she didn't actually apologize. She initially said it was "fake news", and then said ""It was not my intent to deceive or mislead anyone. I made a mistake in saying that I completed my degree."
You can't apologize for lies and fraud, if you deny engaging in lies and fraud. She apologized to her supporters for her 'mistake' harming her campaign, but lies outright still that she faked evidence on purpose.
She adopted the Trump model. It doesn't matter how unambiguous the evidence is, lie and tell your base you'll pander to them, and just ride it out. The difference is the GOP hasn't harnessed themselves to her and so won't protect her.

So when Trumpkins get to the part of Plato's Republic (hahahahahahahahahahahaha wooo ok, phew, but seriously, let's follow through with this thought) where they talk about the Noble Lie/Foundation Myth, and someone asks, "but is that ethical," I guess they just stare back blankly while they try to see the problem.
I don't understand why, because it's so easy to catch, but politicians faking degrees is a thing.
Consider Heather Bresch (daughter of democratic senator Joe Manchin) who faked her MBA. High level university officials *went to the mat for her* (presumably because they knew that they'll be rewarded for their loyalty after).
The punishment for all of this? She gets to be CEO of a company. They sell the EpiPen.
Faking degrees is a standard play in politics, not much to do with Trump.

Everybody from Liberty University has a fake degree.
