These similarities seem all coincidental. Tardigrades are the only creature known to survive in space, so using them as a sci-fi device is obvious. Making them big and glowing blue is also obvious (what in sci-fi doesn't glow blue)?
People making a big deal out of this don't really deal in making fiction. Ideas line up occasionally, parallel thinking.

I'm not commenting on how the game itself appears.
But the trailer is a great example of what not to do..
Its over 3 times longer than necessary, and begins with 45 seconds of a static head talking nonsense.

There needs to something called the “Dune Rule.” If you use iconography from the Dune universe you forfeit your claim to copyright.
