These similarities seem all coincidental. Tardigrades are the only creature known to survive in space, so using them as a sci-fi device is obvious. Making them big and glowing blue is also obvious (what in sci-fi doesn't glow blue)?
People making a big deal out of this don't really deal in making fiction. Ideas line up occasionally, parallel thinking.
Um, more than coincidental...
Shit, they both have white guys in them. Shut 'er down!

I'm not commenting on how the game itself appears.
But the trailer is a great example of what not to do..
Its over 3 times longer than necessary, and begins with 45 seconds of a static head talking nonsense.

There needs to something called the “Dune Rule.” If you use iconography from the Dune universe you forfeit your claim to copyright.
Otherwise I say Star Trek ripped of this guy whole cloth.

Hey, just so everyone knows, I submitted the Mr. Plinkett review for The Last Jedi at the exact same time someone else did because it was not there when I checked and when I submitted there were two of them. Mine was technically a dupe even though it has a vote. You should vote for the other one.
