Anyway, Dems took the House! It's not much but it's SOMETHING. Where 2016 felt like a sucker punch, a Pearl Harbor of politics, 2018 at least feels like the battle's been joined. The lines have shifted too: it's not going to be "big government versus little government" any more -- really it hasn't been for a while, but it's now explicitly the white nationalists against the humanists. And I do still believe the humanists will win, because they have so much more to offer.

They're not voting for Cruz per se, they're voting for a decaying and horrible self-image of what Texas used to pretend to be. The fact that it was so close (and in Georgia too) at least shows the demographic changes are in the right direction. (Sadly, Florida seems to be drifting the other way.)
