The movie "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" was right about strippers. Stripper stories come in 3s - Student, Single Mom, Drug Addict.

What the movie didn't say is that they can have more than one of those stories at the same time.

I had a friend in the late 90s whose cousin who was anticipating her 21st birthday for literally a couple of years because then she would be old enough to dance on amateur night at some strip club in Revere, and she couldn't wait because she thought stripping was awesome. When the time came she actually invited friends and family. I don't know if they turned up because I didn't, although in retrospect it probably would have been amazingly awkward so I should have done it.
