As a Californian one of my aspirations is to one day own a house with a back yard and to plant as many milkweed bushes as possible to help out monarch butterflies.

sadly they may go extinct before I can afford to buy a house with a back yard in California.

Any other flower recommendations besides milkweed and the three good ones mentioned in this vid? I was wondering what to plant in the small space I have for this

I've seen 20 or so Monarch pupa on a single milkweed that was planted in a 15 inch clay pot. It seems like if you plant it, they will come.

I don't mow the grass because I paved my back yard and painted it green.
