Oof, that's a beautiful-looking game. Look at the number of angles they drew for each vehicle! And really smooth "distance" transitions too -- hardly any popping between pictures.
Fair enough that you thought I was being sarcastic, but I meant it. I hardly played any arcade games back in the day, so my main reference point for this stuff comes from SNES. Compared to Mario Kart or F Zero, this looks smooth and beautiful.
I love Outrun! I used to have a Turbo Outrun sit down cabinet that looked like a tiny red Ferrari, it was excellent, but then I moved to an upper apt and had to sell it. A friend who lived down the street bought it, and we rolled it down the road to his house.
