One time I soaked the lutle, little, concrete patio outside the basement door with barbecue lighting fluid and set it on fire just for the hell of it, but it didn't even leave a mark fortunately.
More recently, around 2011 one of my roommates had some old fireworks ad we took them apart for some reason but didn't know how to safely dispose of the little chunks of black powder that make the stars. so we put them in a can and put the can on the grill out back and lit them. but it was too windy, so after a couple tries I kind d of hunched over the can to block the wind and it worked and the whole thing blew right in my face and the entire left side turned black with soot Looney Toons style, plus I lost part of a sideburns but other than that I was fine.
Oh and a few years earlier I was helping a different roommate take the engine out of a car but when we were done we had maybe 2 gallons of gas in a bucket and didn't know what to do with it. So we went out into the parking lot next door and poured it in a big circle about 20 feet acroas, across, and lit it up. That time it burned for about 10 minutes and most definitely DID leave a mark.
Point being I'm not going to throw any shade on these guys for doing stupid shit and almost burning the neighborhood down because I didn't REALLY get past that until my mid 30s.
I've told people before- imagine what a seriously crappy gas mileage is. Ohhhh, let's say 5 miles per gallon? Just imagine pushing a F-350 pickup truck fives miles. There is a shitload of energy in gasoline.
