How have I never heard of City Kids before? I watched this exact Saturday block as a kid! Either my local station pre-empted it for golf or something, or its "Seseame Street but for hip urban teens" vibe was so embarrassing that I blocked it out.

BECAUSE IT WAS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF FUN.

I distinctly remember being angry with Tales from the Cryptkeeper for not killing off any of the animated child characters. I thought that was just a ripoff.

Several of the City Kids wound up with AIDS. It was very tragic.
