I don't know why Chelsea Clinton could possibly be to blame for anything that happens in NZ, but the blame couldn't fall on a better person. Fuck you Chelsea Clinton!

Born in the RSR - 2019-03-22

Hear hear!

poorwill - 2019-03-22

She was just a few days before making an ass of herself on twitter over the ilhan omar bullshit

It was for a tweet she sent that was critical of Ilan Omar's tweets about Israel and Jewish groups. Long before this happened, Omar had walked back and apologized for those statements.

So Clinton gets yelled at for fomenting Islamophobia that led to the Christchurch massacre at a vigil for the Christchurch massacre that she is attending as a representative of an interfaith group.

The left always, always, ALWAYS eats itself.

SolRo - 2019-03-22

Chelsea joined in on the cynical, fabricated ANTISEMITISM!!! dog pile on Omar

Whether that was personaly islamophobic of her or not I can’t say, but Chelsea certainly didn’t care to chime in when republicans used Jewish dog whistles to pander to their base

Caminante Nocturno - 2019-03-22

Western leftism is just wallowing in racism and bigotry, and they'd rather bark at dog whistles than deal with any of it.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-22

To criticize Israel isn't antisemitic. To say that American Jews who support Israel have divided loyalties at the very least smacks of antisemitic. I don't know what exactly Chelsea Clinton tweeted, but it was reasonable to criticize Ms.Omar, and for Ms Omar to apologize. And that's where it should have ended.

The continued hypocritical exploitation of this minor faux pas by. republicans, including a president who has tweeted far worse, is straight up horrible.

And what is this bullshit? "Your rhetoric caused this to happen?" No surprise, the prison who made that nonsensical claim is reported to have been wearing a Bernie Sanders t-shirt.

Rosebeekee - 2019-03-22

There's nothing easier than finding fault with people you already don't agree with. The real challenge is for people to accept the fact that people who share their beliefs something's do and say things that aren't right and need to be called out on.

SolRo - 2019-03-22

Omar wasn’t criticizing American Jews. She was criticizing American politicians who act like they’re Israeli politicians.

Good job falling for the conservative bullshit.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-22

>>>Chelsea certainly didn’t care to chime in when republicans used Jewish dog whistles to pander to their base.

I'm really skeptical that you know for a fact that Chelsea Clinton has never criticized Republicans for dog whistling.

We all need to learn the difference between criticism and condemnation. And fuck these Republicans. These are the same people who bitch about "political correctness".

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-23

>>>Omar wasn’t criticizing American Jews. She was criticizing American politicians who act like they’re Israeli politicians.

If you say so. As long as she walked it back, I don't particularly care.

>>>Good job falling for the conservative bullshit.

This may have been my own bullshit. If it's antisemitic to be annoyed by Jews (and evangelicals, of course) who will support Israel no matter what, that's exactly how antisemitic I am.

SolRo - 2019-03-24

did you even read her tweets/comments in context or are you just reading all the rags screeching about how anti-Semitic Omar is?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-24

Honestly, I'm not sure. If I thought this was a discussion about Ilhan Omar instead of these dipshits in the video, I'd be more careful about knowing what she said.

Let.me be clear about this. I am not at all convinced that Ilhan Omar (forgive me I spelled that wrong) said anything antisemitic, but I find it reasonable to believe that some people might think so, and I applaud her for not doubling down. In the era of Donald Trump, the ability to NOT DOUBLE DOWN seems undervalued to me. I am aware of the limitations of my understanding of all things middle east, but I support anyone having the courage to criticize the Israel lobby.

Incidentally, Chelsea Clinton didn't double down either. After Ms. Omar apologized, she backed off, or at least that's what I read.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-23

Are you saying that the idea that the murders in New Zealand were somehow inspired by a tweet by Hillary Clinton ISN'T utter nonsense? For that matter, are you actually saying anything?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-23

Uhhh... That's CHELSEA Clinton.

Ugh - 2019-03-24

the core of the issue is that ilhan omar is being incorrectly paraded around as an example of unbridled anti-semitism by people from her own political party on social media

chelsea clinton contributed to this message and the person confronting her believes that it contributes to and normalizes calls of violence towards muslims

but i'm pretty sure you know this

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-24

What I know is that Chelsea Clinton tweeted one message about antisemitism that didn't mention Omar or Muslims at all. I suppose there was implied criticism, which I don't think I agree with, but neither Ms. Omar nor Ms Clinton is above criticism. If these people had been critical of Ms Clinton's actual statement, instead of coming at her with full-on Alex Jones level lunacy, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

The question is: when you accuse someone of being complicit in mass genocidal murder, does it matter whether she actually is complicit? You changed the subject, so I think you know the answer.

Ugh - 2019-03-24

my first two comments are making fun of our current crop of centrists, who are irritated by this woman and her ilk for being angry towards influential centrists like chelsea, who've done their best to throw ilhan (who is not coincidentally muslim like the victims of the shooting) under the bus without getting their hands dirty

if you hadn't followed the ilhan omar subject then this will not make any sense and i cannot help you there because my god that would take forever to break it down

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-24

>>>if you hadn't followed the ilhan omar subject then this will not make any sense and i cannot help you there because my god that would take forever to break it down

I didn't ask you to break it down. I asked you a YES OR NO question. One has three letters, the other has two.http://www.theutcecho.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/chelseacl inton3.jpg

And we don't need to break it down. Context is a fine thing but there's also THE TEXT. There's the words that were used, and what the words mean.

Here's the tweet:

http://www.theutcecho.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/chelseacl inton3.jpg

"We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism."

You can infer implied criticism, but she doesn't say anything untrue, and she doesn't accuse Omar of anything. She doesn't mention Omar. She doesn't mention Islam. Maybe you think that was to keep her hands clean. Well, didn't she?

compare that with getting in someone's face and saying:

"Forty-Nine people died because of the rhetoric you put out there."

WORDS. MEAN. THINGS.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-24

I know that there's a of lot people, especially Republicans, who have opportunistically jumped on this and refused to let up. But that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about extravagant inflammatory lies. And it's about the difference between criticism and vilification, which has been left behind. Mostly, I think, for attention.

Ugh - 2019-03-25

blatant rhetoric that creates a negative narrative towards muslims contributes towards the ease with which they are otherized and victimized

if you read what she wrote and sincerely think she was just quoting a line from captain planet then you can fuck off into the sun with that disingenuous shit

ilhan omar's criticism of aipac and the money it spends to court politicians isn't anti-semitic unless you're willing to ascribe any criticism of israel as being a criticism of judaism

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-25

Chelsea Clinton was commenting on a tweet by Batya Ungar-Sargon who, I just found out, is the opinion editor of the progressive Jewish Publication the Forward

Here's a recent column Ungar-Sargon published in the Forward:

'Netanyahu Just Invited Israel’s Equivalent Of The KKK To Join The Government'

https://forward.com/opinion/419676/netanyahu-just-invited-isra els-kkk-to-join-the-government-american-jews/

>>>ilhan omar's criticism of aipac and
I don't have an opinion of what Rep Omar said, and I don't think I need one. the money it spends to court politicians isn't anti-semitic unless you're willing to ascribe any criticism of israel as being a criticism of judaism

Yeah, and Chelsea Clinton isn't complicit in the massacre unless you're a fucking moron. Neither woman accused Rep Omar of bad intentions, but is it somehow less condescending for gentiles to tell Jews what antisemitism is than for white people to tell black people what's racist or for men to tell women what's sexist?

I think Rep Omar inadvertently offended some people, and she apologized. People of good faith let it go, and people of bad faith didn't. By all accounts, Chelsea Clinton let it go.

I don't have an opinion of what Rep Omar said, and I don't think I need one. I was not offended, and I'm all for criticizing AIPAC.

Again, this is about the difference between criticism, which is healthy, and vilification, which is toxic. At this point, I'm not at all convinced that you know there is a difference.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-25

>>>blatant rhetoric that creates a negative narrative towards muslims contributes towards the ease with which they are otherized and victimized

I'm sorry, but in order to be BLATANT about creating a negative narrative about muslims, you have to at least MENTION muslims! Chelsea Clinton's tweet was directed toward "elected representatives"

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-03-24
