I like what little I know about Frakes.

1. When he found himself co-starring in a show with Patrick "Sir Patrick" Stewart, he quickly realized he himself was a shit actor and worked hard behind the scenes to pivot into a career as a director.

2. In the interviews I've seen, he spends the whole time making light of his own work and talking up his collaborators.

3. He's one of many who said they wanted more LGBT stuff on Trek, and he doesn't mince words about TNG's unfortunate racist episodes.

4. He wanted to kill off Will Riker and permanently replace him with his insecure doppleganger, Thomas Riker, because it seemed like a more interesting acting job.

That's enough good stuff to make me a fan. Seems like a good guy to work with. Maybe I missed a bunch of other stuff where he acts like a total dick, though.

Oh no, I just meant I hate him as an actor.

I also watched this show when I was a kid, it was fun enough but i'd be hard pressed to remember the plot of a single episode.

I was bummed that they replaced Frakes for the later seasons with, and (I'm not going to look it up) but i think it was that soap opera dude that played Elaine's boss on Seinfeld.

I remember the episode were a crooked guy got baked into a cake, and I remember another one with two guy who buried caskets and another crooked guy told them to "brush" the casket and they refused because it was disrespectful. I don't remember how that one ended, I just remember not knowing what it meant to brush a casket and it's kind of stuck with me (I probably just misheard it).
