Anyhow, this is impressive compared to older technology but it still sounds pretty fake. Good enough that it could fool someone if they weren't paying attention and it's going to do wonders for the robocall industry, but it's still pretty obvious in quite a few places.
So thoughts on the problem of proving anything in a future where anything and anyone can be easily faked, compounded by a human tendency to live in information and world-view bubbles?
Ghost in The Shell referenced this decades ago, wherein the good guys uncovered a dastardly badguy plot, got live satellite video of it and leaked it on the internet...and no one believes it because everything can be faked and the everyperson cant trust anything sensational.
