I just watched that tv show 'Chernobyl'
I thought it was really good, cant complain.

It didnt seem the best fit for the subject matter. Imo it was too 'American', it was too entertaining, too 'good tv', hitting all the beats with a tight script. Also it all being in English was just bizarre.
Making a tv show about Chernobyl was an opportunity to do something really realistic, they could have made something *fucking brutal* like Threads (1984)
Threads is memorable and it carries weight. Chernobyl is just another (albeit really quite good) tv show.

Basically it was good enough that it crosses my threshold for serious critiquing..
Eg. If ye had the chops to make something that good then ye could have made something truly great / significant.

It was an amazingly crafted show but I agree with your sentiments and felt that there was dramatic license taken where it wasn't needed. Meanwhile with respect to this video, I just think Cerenkov radiation is cool as its one of the few examples of humans being able to witness an event that normally wouldn't be possible (particles moving faster than light because light is slowed down in water)
