Is this for real?

SolRo - 2019-07-01

I’d say yes if only because the listing of priorities matches other shitty corporations

1 customers
2 shareholders
3 company
4 employees

casualcollapse - 2019-07-01

Fuck yes that's a good song.

Mister Yuck - 2019-07-01

So, when I finish my apprenticeship, I'll be making $45 an hour or so with health benefits and a pension. When you think about it, that's about what a decent blue collar job would have made in the 50s, 60s and 70s - enough money to raise a family. Nowadays, it's more money than most of my white collar friends make, all of us 10 years out of college. Only the ones in finance or oil are doing better, and the ones in finance are only doing better if they have family connections.

Unions are great. Anyone who would tell you different is trying to fuck you.

casualcollapse - 2019-07-01

What is your trade?

SolRo - 2019-07-01

I wish my trade was unionized. It go from $30 per hour to at least $40. Also sweet sweet pensions.

May train for aircraft repair if I get bored in another 2 years

Monkey Napoleon - 2019-07-01

I mean, that's kind of a blanket statement.

It just sort of depends on the union. Retail unions are notorious for being ineffectual vampires.

SolRo - 2019-07-02

Mechanics union, aka the kind of workers you can’t switch out with untrained scabs overnight if there’s a strike.

Nominal - 2019-07-02

But you'll have to pay DUES!

Mister Yuck - 2019-07-02

I'm an electrician in commercial construction.

As for retail unions, I sure wish I had had one when I was working those jobs. Organizing retail is really, really hard because of the turnover but the unionized grocery stores in Chicago still had great benefits until 2008 finally crushed them. They were still a million times better than CVS or REI. Double fucks to REI for making me pay for my own parking while I was selling thousand dollar bikes to yuppies. Buy all your camping gear online, fuck them.

Money Nap.. The very reclusive poetard..Hi .

Chicken the Did - 2019-07-02

Maybe, not today. Maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not ten years from now. But some day motherfuckers are gonna storm those multi million dollar villas and unleash the dark side of humanity on these plantation owner pricks. And their entire families. There's a breaking point somewhere. I feel some emotions and thoughts I am frankly ashamed of having.

exy - 2019-07-02

This vid is double plus ungood, so five for that.

Marlon Brawndo - 2019-07-02

"Examples include associates who are normally not connected to each other hanging out with each other...unusual complaints or change in passion or detail around complaints, unusual interest in policies, benefits, employee lists or any other company information."

So anyone that wants to know what the company stands for. Got it.

Chicken the Did - 2019-07-03

Also, it seems to threaten the associates to either self-police or suffer the collective punishment. Because Amazon is either gonna find and eliminate the problem elements or 'nuke everyone from orbit' thanks to the magic of employ at will.

Mister Yuck - 2019-07-03

We're not anti-union... but we'll shut down this whole distribution center rather than negotiate a contract if you ever form one.

SolRo - 2019-07-04

I believe this is training for management, because management can never be trusted.
