A sexual predator is exploiting a civil rights issue for his own malicious ends. If you actually care about trans rights, then this is an important issue, because I doubt this is the first time it has happened and I'm certain it won't be the last.

The wilful application of the ostrich algorithm around immensely important legal issues that affect women (adult human females) by people who identify as 'left' and 'liberal' has been so disturbing to see. Instead of critically assessing 'trusted' news sources you slander basic factual reporting as coming from a 'rag'. You can find facts in rags and lies in the sources that you have come to trust

Whatever Yaniv's motivation is, I think she's deliberately acting like the typical "What about a man who claims is trans just to perv on women?" bogeytrans that regressives enjoy philosophising over to deny trans people rights.

To be honest it's very confusing. I'm not entitled to be the arbiter of who is a real transwoman and who isn't, but Yaniv here is acting the same way I imagine a fake trans person would in order to realise a transphobic fantasy.

Not that you NEED to be integrated into the trans community to be an activist, but the fact that the usual trans organizations aren't supporting her is indicative. As we get more comfortable with accepting trans women as women, we're gonna reach the critical mass where there is > 1 awful person among them who hurts the cause. Maybe Yaniv is one of those people.

You're trying to play 'no true scotsman'. Yaniv is trans because he says so, that is all you need to 'identify' as a woman. There is no clinical test, nothing in one's blood, no way to measure 'gender identity'.

As far as the "low level sexual predador" thing, yeah, sending creepy, inappropriate messages to a few teenagers online is gross but it's not the kind of thing that get a bunch of sensational press coverage when CIS men do it (which they do a LOT, unfortunately). I'm not even denying that the Internet left has a problem with silencing discussion of situations like this, because it does to some degree. That doesn't change the fact that the main reason this is only being covered by the specific media outlets and online communities (almost 100% of the coverage of it in the last 6 months was sourced from a single Kiwi Farms thread - the Post-Millenial interview and these clips are the only exceptions to that I've seen). I first heard about this back in like February from a friend-of-a-friend who was ranting about autogynophilia and how "trans women are men who fantasize about having a vagina when they masturbate" and SJWs and Yaniv being part of an entire ring of trans sex predators who were working together etc. etc.


It's not that this isn't a fucked up person doing fucked up things, it's that the thing that separates this from the similar things that are being done ALL THE TIME by people - mostly but not always men - who DON'T identify as trans is that this particular case is being leveraged by Breitbart et. al. to further their own narrative.

You are absolutely wrong. This is about Canadian law replacing sex with gender identity for rules. This is what you get when you do that. You will get much more if this sanity doesn't prevail.

You're less concerned about a sociopath using a civil rights issue to cover up their bigotry and predatory actions than you are about your Internet enemies using this to score a 'win', so much so that you're willing to minimize what this person has done and play the worst kind of spin-doctor over it.

'well aware' is really an understatement given that Yaniv has successfully banned Murphy from Twitter for 'misgendering'.

That's why it used to be a difficult medical process. However, conservatives altered laws to make it more difficult, until they rolled it back to this point, where overworked doctors don't have time to worry about the percent of a percent of a percent of creeps willing to hormonally neuter themselves to they can be perverts.

No one needs hormones to identify as transgender. Gender identity is entirely self-professed.
