Holy shit this is an amazing state of preservation. The notion that written records might be preserved - underwater - for over 150 years in a shipwreck is just unfathomable from a historical perspective.

I would be very surprised if anything paper were recovered from the wreck. Maybe some leather covers, but I can’t believe paper would survive that long without dissolving.
