Everyone knows the poor are only poor because they are lazy, and if we make them miserable enough then they’ll stop being lazy and become rich.

SolRo, the police here in Cincinnati literally believe that. You can get bitched out for trying to give a homeless person on the street food. I remember one anecdote shared with me where a person bought a quarter pounder at a McDonald s and gave it to a man standing by the store. A cop stomped up and angrily slapped it out of the homeless guy's hand. These cops act as enforcers for the whole "If you keep helping them they'll never learn!" fallacy.

#1: Remove all nobility from poverty inherited from Christianity. make sure all churches preach Prosperity Gospel and make it functionally impossible for a homeless person to develop a healthy level of self-acceptance.

#2; Actively punish the poor, by cranking up already existing passive stereotypes and stigmatizing everything except absolute minimum upper middle class expectations.

#3: Remove all immigrants, doing work no American would do at that level of income.

#4: Argue that minimum wage laws are preventing people from getting jobs they don’t want to do anyway, not because they’re lazy poorest in the grip of Pink Cadillac welfare addiction, but because nobody with any small amount of self-respect is going to pick tomatoes for $3 every 100 pounds.

#5: Start mandating free labor in exchange for not going to a debtor’s prison.

The immigrant labor issue is really falsely propagandized by agribusiness owners.

‘We need migrant labor because we can pay them less than legal wages, no benefits and have them work in dangerous conditions, then just fire them when they get hurt.’

‘We need migrant labor because no American wants to these jobs, it’s a real mystery why they don’t’


Also only the immigrants get punished if the business is caught (ab)using them.
