His story was that it was supposed to be a hoax, but the kid didn't hide where his parents told him to hide, which led them to believe that he had actually gotten onto the lose balloon.

I don't buy that for a minute, but that's his argument.

His kids are also in some sort of corpse paint death metal band. I think that they're a Christian death metal band, too.
