Two Jar Slave - 2019-11-18
The world admires and rewards smart people. The world rightly hates unskilled pretentious people.

Cena_mark - 2019-11-18 The show makes Rick look cool and right at the end, so he does become a tole model to the edgelords

Two Jar Slave - 2019-11-18 I should have said "unskilled pretentious people of any level of intelligence."

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-11-18 They lost me at using Jerry for a reference point, because family life is easy for Jerry. Come on, how anyone who has even seen a couple of episodes once come to that conclusion?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-11-18
In the YouTube comments, "Mr Sarcastic" posts: "This is true. The World hates the Rick and Morty fanbase."
Is this supposed to be... sarcastic? Maybe not? I recently discovered a streaming channel on Adult Swim that ran the first three seasons of R and M on an endless loop. There was a chatroom there featuring a guy whose username was "AbolishIslam". You get the idea. The fucking dregs.
Most people love video games, but self-identified "gamers" are considered the worst, right? Its like that. I may have seen my favorite R and M episode, the one where Rick escapes from Space Prison, more than 100 times. It's not impossible. But please dont lump me in with "the fan base". Those assholes suck.

Smart people hate Rick and Morty

SolRo - 2019-11-19 Rick and morty is good.
Average people that think they’re -smart- because they watch rick and morty are insufferable.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-11-19 Most people who have an opinion like Rick and Morty. My late best friend Cynthia, who I mention from time to time, told me that she hated Rick and Morty, and then, not long before her accident, she started laughing at it, as loudly as I'd ever heard her laugh at anything. Cynthia was smart, certainly smarter than I am, but I don't think you have to be terribly smart to enjoy it. Liking Rick and Morty does not make you special, and this is problematic for hipsters.
My feeling is that hipsters are not bad people, they're just immature smart people, and every mature person used to be an immature person. Everybody either goes through either a hipster phase or a conformity phase, where the culture you consume becomes part of your identity, because your identity is a work in progress and you look to the culture you consume to tell you who you are. Unless you want your culture to tell you that you're part of the group, you want your culture to tell you that you're special.
But liking Rick and Morty does not not make you special. So you either have to dislike Rick and Morty, or you have to like in a way that makes you "special", i.e., insufferable.
This is not to suggest that SpaceOdin, or anyone else who dislikes Rick and Morty, doesn't come by that honestly.
