It’s hard to see a good call for GameStop to make which would give a good financial and publicity outcome. The company was struggling already and the executives are assholes.

I don’t think many (any?) GameStop’s will be around in a year, and the people at the top will golden-parachute away.
I stopped going to GameStop after one of the clerks was telling the other clerk a story after the Me Too movement kicked off.
It was about how the father of his friend's girlfriend was beaten to death by a vigilante mob because of a false rape accusation he had been exonerated for 10 years prior.
So you can see why it's dangerous to always believe women.
I decided to buy used games elsewhere from then on.
5 stars for "moans of the dying" tag. That, and where a store manager asks for a corporate email to show some kind of emotional support. The female executive already sent one like last week! Quit whining!
Day by day by day. Aren’t they being paid to set the long term direction of the company? I mean, technically they are (the long term direction is bankruptcy), but still.
Of course all non-essential stores are now totally shut down. So all their evil hijinks are now for nothing. And people are not gonna forget about this. This is the sort of thing that stays with a business a long time.
