I've been marking videos Dupe if they're pretty obviously Trump spam from two particular posters (examples still in the hopper include 'Believe all women. But not me, I didn't mean me...', 'Great Joe Biden ad' which is really a Trump ad, 'Biden's Genius Secret to Destroy Trump', 'Pelosi can't even fake empathy for the people that are being forced to keep working'). I do this on the grounds that it's the exact same recycled shit from the same boring echo chamber.

Possibly that's a dick move, and possibly I've sometimes tagged the wrong video. Where I merely _dislike_ a clip but don't have strong reason to think it's from Crashtar, I just downvote (eg 'Bullies are necessary, change my mind').

Separately: I have very mixed feelings about Thomas Jefferson. Love the radical believer in liberty. Hate his aristocratic sneering at practicality and his horrible racial theories. Damn impressive figure for his time, is I guess the best you can say.

His contradictions are America's contradictions. Confession time: a part of me really sympathises with those ghastly anti-lockdown protestors in Sacramento. When they scream 'FREEEEDOM!!!' there are chords in my heart that resonate. As an expat I treasure that American 'frontier myth' love of being left alone to do the hell I want with mah propertah, and if any ELITE tells me I can't own a tiger he knows where he can shove it.

But I don't have to spell out how many disasters are woven into that foundation myth, always have been. And Jefferson embodies two-thirds (or maybe I should say three-fifths) of them.

What is this "believe all women" bullshit? Did someone actually SAY "believe all women"? It sure as hell wasn't me; that is way too general.
