I remember around 1978, before I dropped out of Binghamton (went back and graduated in the 80s) I took a class in Theater of the Absurd. I don't remember a lot about it. I may not have even finished it. I do remember that during one class, the middle aged professor went into a weird tangent about how hot Diana Rigg was. It wasn't creepy (well, it wasn't creepy for the seventies. Around the same time, my creative writing teacher was openly coming on to a female student on front of everyone in a way that would have earned him the bum's rush today.)

But it was odd, and it was out of the blue. Apparently, all of the male professors in his department had been infatuated with Mrs. Peele during the sixties. He called It... no shit... "riggitis".

Well, it makes sense that literature professors would dig her. She went from Mrs. Peele and the Muppets to the title role in a nationally acclaimed production of Medea and one of the evil daughters to Olivier's King Lear.

She was so sexy in the avengers, you can forget how funny she was.
